Privacy Policy
We believe you should know exactly what data we collect and why. This policy explains it clearly — no surprises.
Overview
Shotcaller (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates a mobile freight platform for truck drivers and brokers in the United States. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information you share with us through the Shotcaller iOS and Android apps.
We collect only what we need to run the app. We don’t sell your personal data. Period.

What We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:

| Load Data | Loads you post or apply to, load status updates, assigned drivers, and delivery confirmations. |
| Documents | Files you upload, such as rate confirmations, bills of lading, insurance certificates, driver licenses, and expense receipts. |
| Financial Records | Expense entries, income and profit data you log. Payment method details are handled by Stripe — we never store full card numbers. |
| Device & Usage | Device type, OS version, app version, crash reports, and general usage patterns to help us fix bugs and improve the app. |
| Push Token | A device token used only to send you notifications about your loads and account activity. |
We do not collect precise GPS location in the background. We do not access your contacts, camera, or microphone beyond what you explicitly use in the app.
Why We Use Your Data
We use your information to:
- Create and manage your account
- Connect drivers with brokers on available loads
- Send push notifications for load status changes, new applications, and account activity
- Process payments securely via Stripe
- Let you track expenses and view profit summaries per load
- Store and display documents between the relevant broker and driver
- Fix bugs and improve app performance
- Respond to your support requests
- Comply with applicable U.S. laws and regulations
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not build advertising profiles on users.
Stripe & Payments
Shotcaller uses Stripe for payment processing. When you enter payment details, that information goes directly to Stripe — Shotcaller never sees or stores your full card number, CVV, or bank account number.
Stripe is a certified PCI-DSS Level 1 payment processor. By using paid features, you agree to Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
Push Notifications
We send push notifications to keep you updated on load status, new driver applications, and important account activity. You can turn these off in your device settings at any time, though you may miss important load updates.
Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on secure cloud servers located in the United States. We use encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, and we apply strict access controls to limit who can access your data internally.
No system is 100% secure. If there is ever a data breach that affects you, we will notify you as required by applicable U.S. law.
How Long We Keep Your Data
We keep your data for as long as your account is active or as long as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, your personal data is permanently removed within 30 days.
We may retain anonymized, non-identifiable data (such as aggregate load counts) and records required by U.S. law (such as financial transaction logs for tax purposes) after your account is deleted.
Your Rights
You have control over your data. You can:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we have on you
- Correct — ask us to fix inaccurate information
- Delete — request full deletion of your account and personal data (see below)
- Opt out of push notifications via device settings
- Contact us with any questions about how your data is used
To exercise any of these rights, email contact@shotcaller.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Delete Your Account
You can permanently delete your account at any time:
- In-app: Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account
- By email: Send a request to contact@shotcaller.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request"
Your account and all associated personal data will be permanently deleted within 30 days of your request. This cannot be undone. Any active loads may be cancelled as part of the deletion process.
We may keep anonymized data and records required by law (like Stripe transaction logs) even after deletion, but none of it will identify you.
Children
Shotcaller is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us at contact@shotcaller.com and we will promptly delete the account.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We’ll notify you via in-app notification or email. Continuing to use the app after changes go live means you accept the updated policy.
For significant changes, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice.
