About Shotcaller

Shotcaller is a mobile app that connects freight brokers and truck drivers in one place. Brokers can post loads, manage applications, and track deliveries. Drivers can find loads, track their earnings, and manage their documents — all from their phone.

Shotcaller is a technology platform only. We are not a freight broker, carrier, or transportation intermediary. We do not arrange, execute, or take responsibility for the transportation of any goods.

Similar platforms in this space include DAT Load Board, Truckstop.com, and Convoy. Like them, Shotcaller simply connects the two sides of freight — we are the marketplace, not the movement.

Your Account

You must be 18 or older to use Shotcaller. When you sign up, we verify your phone number with a one-time code (OTP). Keep your account secure — you’re responsible for everything that happens on it.

  • Provide accurate information when registering
  • Do not share your account with others
  • Do not create multiple accounts to get around a suspension
  • Let us know right away at contact@shotcaller.com if you think your account has been compromised
3

Drivers & Brokers

You choose your role when you sign up. Here’s what each role can do:

Driver

Browse loads, apply to loads, manage documents, log expenses, and track per-load profit. You are an independent operator — not an employee of Shotcaller or any broker.

Broker

Post loads, review applications, assign drivers, track load status from posting to payment, and manage documents. You’re responsible for the accuracy of your load postings.

Shotcaller does not verify licenses, CDLs, DOT numbers, or insurance. Both parties are responsible for their own compliance with federal and state trucking laws.

4

Acceptable Use

Play fair. You may not use Shotcaller to:

  • Post fake or fraudulent loads
  • Impersonate another person or company
  • Upload forged or altered documents
  • Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users
  • Scrape, bot, or automate access to the platform
  • Reverse engineer or tamper with the app
  • Transport prohibited, illegal, or hazardous goods without proper authorization
  • Violate any applicable U.S. federal or state law

Violations can result in immediate account suspension and, where applicable, reporting to law enforcement.

5

Loads & Agreements

When a broker posts a load and a driver accepts it, the agreement is directly between the broker and the driver. Shotcaller is not a party to that agreement and is not responsible for its execution or any disputes that arise from it.

Brokers are responsible for posting accurate load details — origin, destination, mileage, rate, and pickup/delivery windows.

Drivers are responsible for having the correct CDL class, equipment type, and insurance required for any load they accept.

Shotcaller does not guarantee load availability, driver availability, or that any load will be completed successfully.

6

Payments & Stripe

Shotcaller uses Stripe to process payments. By using any paid feature, you also agree to Stripe’s Terms of Service.

The app is currently free to use during our launch period. If we introduce paid plans or transaction fees, we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice before any charges apply.

Shotcaller does not directly handle payments between brokers and drivers for freight. The load rate, payment schedule, and method of payment for a completed load are agreed upon by the broker and driver directly.

All Stripe payments are processed securely. Shotcaller does not store your full card number or banking details.

7

Documents & Content

Drivers and brokers can upload documents like rate confirmations, bills of lading, insurance certificates, and expense receipts. You are responsible for the accuracy of anything you upload.

By uploading, you give us permission to store and display that document to the relevant party on your load (e.g., the broker can see what the driver uploads for that load, and vice versa).

Do not upload documents containing full Social Security Numbers, full bank account numbers, or anything beyond what is needed for standard freight operations.

8

Your Privacy

We take your privacy seriously. Our Privacy Policy explains exactly what data we collect, why we collect it, and how it’s protected. Please read it — it’s part of these Terms.

In short: we collect what we need to run the app, we don’t sell your data, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

9

Intellectual Property

Everything in the Shotcaller app — the code, design, logo, text, and features — belongs to us and is protected by U.S. copyright and trademark law.

We give you a limited licence to use the app on your own device for your own purposes. You may not copy, modify, resell, or reverse-engineer any part of the app.

10

Limitation of Liability

The app is provided “as is.” We make no guarantees that it will be available 24/7 or error-free.

To the fullest extent allowed by U.S. law, Shotcaller is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including lost profits, missed loads, or data loss — arising from your use of the app.

Our total liability to you for any claim will not exceed the greater of (a) what you paid us in the last 12 months or (b) $100.

We may retain certain anonymized or aggregated data (such as load counts) that cannot identify you, as well as records required by law (such as financial transaction records for tax purposes).

14

Termination

We can suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraud, or if required by law. We’ll do our best to notify you, but in cases of serious violations we may act without notice.

Sections 9 (IP), 10 (Liability), and 14 (Termination) survive after your account is closed.

15

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. We’ll notify you via in-app notification or email when we do. Continuing to use the app after changes go live means you accept them.

For significant changes, we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice before they take effect.
